Musical Theatre Salisbury

New members of all voices and ages are very welcome, as well as those whose talents are in the field of dance.

A short vocal audition is required to ascertain the voice group a potential member would be most comfortable in. Any classical or popular ballad or song is acceptable for this audition.Our choreographer will set you a very simple movement routine, and a short passage of prose will be provided for you to read. Auditions are held by appointment, usually on Thursday evenings after our regular rehearsal.

As a performing member, you get the benefit of experienced professional producers, and the opportunity to appear in fully-staged and costumed shows. We also use professional choreographers. Our musical director, John Dempster, has unending patience and is very encouraging to people of all ages and with differing levels of musical skills.

Apart from performers, there is a warm welcome for those who prefer to work behind the scenes: costumes, make-up, scenery, props, front of house etc. We are always on the lookout for carpenters!
